2021 ANNUAL REPORT
TiE PHOENIX
Although in-person events were not possible for the majority of 2021, we continued to offer value to the entrepreneurial community. We are proud to highlight a few of our successes.
PILLARS OF TiE
Mentoring
TiE is known for mentoring current and aspiring entrepreneurs to increase their chances of success. Every day, several entrepreneurs are being mentored by successful entrepreneurs, educators, senior corporate executives and industry experts.
Education
TiE signature programs include several educational offerings. The TiE U program supports university students seeking to create and launch new ventures, the TiE Young Entrepreneurship (TYE), motivates high school students to develop an entrepreneurial spirit, and other educational offerings support early-stage and mid-career professionals seeking to start their own ventures.
Networking
TiE offers rich networking opportunities, both within the local community and across the larger TiE ecosystem. Flagship events such as the TiE Global Summit and TiECon attract a wide spectrum of attendees, from successful founders of mature companies, entrepreneurs creating new ventures, professionals from top corporations, leading venture capital firms, educators, thought leaders, senior executives, legal/IP, HR, technology experts and policymakers.
Incubation
TiE Chapters often assist start-ups in collaboration with local incubators to secure space, resources, guidance and subsidized services offered by sponsors and partners.
Investing
Several start-ups have received angel funding and early-stage investments from Angel groups and investors closely aligned with the TiE network. TiE has created a virtuous cycle - charter members who are usually successful entrepreneurs and senior executives, assist founders and aspiring entrepreneurs. Those entrepreneurs go on to become Charter members and assist the next generation to achieve even greater success.
OUR GLOBAL PROGRAM

TiE ANGELS
TiE Global Angels (TGA) is a global platform for TiE Charter Members worldwide to invest in start-ups. It supports TiE’s mission of fostering entrepreneurship by providing entrepreneurs with an early source of funding that also brings with it the power of TiE’s global network and offerings.

TiE U
TiE U is a comprehensive ecosystem that nurtures start-ups run by college/ university students. It achieves this objective by creating events and engagements that bring together start-ups, TiE members, external mentors, coaches, angel funding and ecosystem partners.

TiE YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS
At TiE, we believe that our Youth are talented, risk-takers by nature and we’re here to empower them with the skills and tools to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and go on to become founders of successful ventures. Post the TYE Program, our high schoolers are self-assured and confident in their abilities to create and innovate

TiE WOMEN
The TiE Women program focuses on the unique challenges faced by women entrepreneurs. TiE Women start-ups compete each year at chapter and global-level pitch competitions.
